welcome to the site. i created kevparkin.com to share my experiences of the change management cycle. change is about communication first and foremost. the textbooks talk a lot about systems, methods and the various diagrams and documenting tools that you can use to achieve everything from requirements gathering, to test and deployment of a technical solution. but very few of them go into any real detail about what it's like to work in change management on a day to day basis. i've had people cry on my shoulder and seen people carted out the door, i've seen near miracles happen and disasters. if a business analyst, project manager, scrum master, or agile coach ever tell you they haven't had a catastrophe then they are probably lying.
so who is this blog targeted at? anyone really, but i wanted to create a resource that people who are interested in starting their career in change management would find useful so a lot of the posts will be targeted at beginners or people just wanting some tips of a guy who's been there, done it, and probably destroyed the t-shirt on a hot wash...
you'll also find a bit of a background about me and my projects, there's a couple of references and reviews on here at the min but i hope to increase it over time. you can contact me via whatsapp if you're viewing the site on your phone, or via message. i'll try to respond to everything i'm sent in under 48 hours.
anyway that's all for now, short and sweet!
